In 1953, Shin-Etsu Chemical became the first firm in Japan to enter the silicone business. In the decades since Shin-Etsu has created a diverse line of products designed to exploit the many useful properties of silicones. Today, we offer over 5,000 products for users in a wide range of industries, including electrical/electronic manufacturing, auto manufacturing, construction, cosmetics, healthcare and the chemical industry.

Shin-Etsu Silicones Vietnam (headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City) was established in March 2020, followed by the opening of the Hanoi Branch in October 2024 to enhance the capability of serving customers in Vietnam, one of the fastest-growing countries.

Since the launch of the Shin-Etsu Silicone® brand more than 70 years ago, it has been Shin-Etsu Chemical’s constant goal to find new ways to harness the power of Shin-Etsu Silicone to benefit our customers’ businesses.
